Sept 7 · Evening watch
Conditions: clear overhead, mild haze near the horizon.
The Summer Triangle was easy to trace early, and several members compared how Lyra and Cygnus shift as darkness deepens. Later in the session, Saturn held a steady shape through brief calm pockets, making for a relaxed first look for newer attendees.
Sept 2 · Community lawn session
Conditions: thin cloud bands with long clear intervals.
We focused on northern constellations and practiced star-hopping toward Cassiopeia between cloud breaks. A bright moonrise closed the evening, but the group still logged helpful orientation notes for beginners joining their first autumn meetup.
Aug 28 · Twilight-to-night meetup
Conditions: warm air, gentle breeze, stable seeing after dusk.
As twilight faded, members compared naked-eye and binocular views of the same star fields to discuss contrast and patience at the eyepiece. The session ended with a shared checklist of targets to revisit at the next club gathering.
